Directory of Canadian Members of Parliament (MPs)
After each federal election CanLaw has to update the directory of Canadian MPs to remove from our directories
the MPs who were defeated and update the information of all the new and re-elected MPs
UPDATE the CanLaw online directory with the current crop of MPs
USE FULL PATHS IN ALL LINKS
DO NOT USE RELATIVE LINKS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
First review the old directory on line at http://www.canlaw.com/parliament/mps.htm
to see how it is organized so you can duplicate and update it with the new MPs
We are doing essentially the same thing, but want to change the look of the pages
We have changed the layout and look to match the new look of CanLaw
Using new templates supplied,
1. Create an individual htm page for each MP showing their contact information in Ottawa and in their riding.
Use the template at http://www.canlaw.com/parliament/templateindividualMPs.html to create each MP listing
We will supply an xls spreadsheet with the correct information for each new MP
Photos will be a problem since we do not have all photos for all MPs. Create a link using existing photos(we will give you a zip file of existing photos jpg)
where we have them and
a temporary link for the MPS which do not have photos as yet
2 Group the MPs by province put each MP in his or her own province subdirectory
See a draft template of the provincial list at http://www.canlaw.com/parliament/mpdirectory/almps/almps.htm
