A web-based GIS product/service needs a powerful, yet simple user interface, coupled with an effective user experience, and seamless usability. Some examples of "good" user experiences are to be found at http://www.reqall.com, http://www.nuovadesignlab.it/, etc.Note that ESRI/ArcGIS is *not* considered to be a non-developer, user-friendly interface.The current user interface of the product is based on ASP.NET and AJAX, but is ineffective and uninteresting. The new user experience must be fluid, dynamic, exciting and powerful, yet non-developer-focused.A consultant UI/UX/Usability developer is needed to revamp and redevelop the complete user experience. The consultant developer must be willing to work out of the Bangalore office, in close conjunction with the functional development team.
